Browser Support for IBX Services

All IBX Services are accessed via the Internet using HTTPS only. IBX supports all major browsers according to their vendor support policies. For performance and security reasons it is strongly recommended using the latest version of any supported browser.

Definition of Grades

• A – Services optimized for the listed browser versions, fully tested and functional
• B – Services tested and functional for the listed browser versions – minor layout issues may be anticipated
• F – Services explicitly unsupported and browsers untested - functional limitations may appear

 

Going "Out of Support" Process

IBX will closely monitor the overall usage of the different browser versions. If a browser version drops in the usage (below the minimum threshold) IBX will discontinue the support for such browser with a prior notice to its clients.

Browser Settings

All browsers must have JavaScript enabled and must support Cookies. IBX supports HTTP compression for increased performance. IBX does not use any other client side technologies like Flash, Shockwave, Active-X, Java applets, etc.

Device Support

IBX supports the browsers listed in sec. 1 of this document and the operating systems on PCs and tablets. On tablets, it is currently tested on Apple iPad (iOS) and Samsung Galaxy Tab (Android).

Browser Support for Third Party Software

For third party software which is integrated into the IBX Business Network, the browser support is governed by the third party provider. This implies that browser support may be different for third party software. IBX will use its best efforts to keep third party versions up to date and in alignment with our standard release schedule.
